Skin packaging versus vacuum chamber packaging, which machine suits which product, whether trays are needed, custom tray sizes, and how SAMMOO quotes.
Three things. Vacuum skin packaging machines, which draw a clear film tightly over a product sitting on a tray. MAGICSEAL vacuum chamber sealers, which remove the air from a pouch and seal it, in single- and double-chamber models from table-top units up to three-phase floor-standing ones. And the trays and consumables those machines run on, including made-to-order sizes. The machines are built at our own factory in Busan, South Korea, and have been since 2004.
Skin packaging heats a film and draws it down over the product, so it sets like a second skin against the item and the tray beneath it. The product is held in place, it stays presented the way you arranged it, and the pack can be displayed upright on a shelf. It is the usual choice for retail cuts of meat, fish and seafood, where appearance sells the product. Vacuum chamber packaging works differently: the product goes into a pouch, the whole chamber is evacuated, and the pouch is sealed. It is simpler, the consumables cost less per pack, and it suits storage, freezing, bulk handling and transport. The short version is that skin packaging is for packs a customer will look at, and chamber vacuum is for packs that mainly need to travel and keep.
Start with where the pack ends up. If it goes on a retail shelf and the customer sees the product through the film, skin packaging is almost always the answer. If it goes into a box, a freezer or a kitchen, a chamber sealer usually does the job for less money per pack. Plenty of producers run both — skin packaging for the retail line, a chamber sealer for bulk and offcuts. If you tell us the product, the pack format and roughly how many packs an hour you need, we will tell you which of our machines fits rather than selling you up.
Skin packaging machines do, because the film is drawn down onto a tray. We supply trays sized for our machines and will quote made-to-order sizes for a product that does not fit a standard one. Vacuum chamber sealers use pouches rather than trays, so there is no tray to source.
Yes. Custom tray configurations are one of the things we do, and it is common — a portion size or a retail pack format often does not match a stock tray. Send the dimensions, the product going in it and the quantity you expect to use, and we will quote it.
We do not publish prices. Which machine suits you depends on the product, the pack format and the throughput you need, and the specification changes the figure enough that a published number would mislead more often than it helped. Tell us what you are packing and we will quote the configuration that actually fits. There is no charge for a quotation and no obligation.
Use the enquiry form. The more you can tell us the better the answer: what you are packing, the pack size, how many packs an hour, and whether it is going to retail shelves or into storage. If you want trays rather than a machine, the custom tray quote form takes the dimensions directly.
Yes. The machines are made in Busan and sold and supported internationally. Enquiries from outside Korea are handled in English — use the enquiry form or write to us directly and we will reply.
The shop lists everything we make: skin packaging machines, MAGICSEAL vacuum sealers, the tray range, and the custom tray quote form. This site introduces the company and the product lines; the shop is where the detail and the enquiry forms live.
