What SAMMOO Global stores: locale cookies, Google Analytics only with your consent, enquiry submissions and chatbot conversations — and how to change your choice.
Two first-party cookies are always set. "sammoo_locale" remembers the country and language you chose, and "sammoo_geo" records the region detected from your IP address so you are not redirected on every visit. Both last up to a year, hold nothing but a country and language code, and are not shared with anyone. The site cannot route you to the right regional pages without them, so they are set regardless of your cookie choice.
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics stores a randomly generated visitor identifier for up to two years. We use it to count visits and see which products and pages are looked at. It holds no name, email or other detail that identifies you. Until you accept, Google Analytics is loaded but explicitly instructed to store nothing: no identifier is kept and no analytics cookie is created. Choosing "Necessary only" leaves that instruction in place.
When you submit an enquiry or a tray quote we store what you typed: your name, email address, and optionally your telephone number, company, country and message, together with any file you attach to a quote. We use it to answer you and to prepare a quotation. It is held in our own database on our own server, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties except where we must to fulfil your request.
The product assistant stores the questions asked and the answers given, along with which product data was used to answer and how long it took. We read these to find questions our catalogue does not answer well and to spot incorrect answers. The assistant never asks for personal details, and we ask that you do not type any into it — use the enquiry form instead, where the information is handled properly. Conversations are not linked to your name or email.
The chatbot runs on a language model on our own hardware, reached over a private encrypted connection. Your questions are not sent to any external AI provider and are not used to train anyone’s model.
Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer at any time. Declining later stops any further analytics collection; you can also delete existing cookies through your browser settings. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing was, and costs you nothing on this site.
Write to us at viand01@naver.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will respond within 30 days. If you want an enquiry or a chatbot conversation removed, say so and we will delete it.
Enquiries and quote requests are kept while we are dealing with them and for up to three years afterwards, so we can honour warranties and follow up on past quotations. Chatbot conversations are kept for up to twelve months. Analytics data is retained by Google for fourteen months. Locale cookies expire after a year.
